The Gomes drive a golf cart through the community. John has access to the golf cart because he helps with sales for the community.

The Gomes enjoy lunch with fellow residents at Gordon's on the River restaurant after commuting by boat ride from their nearby community through Naples Bay.

Lorraine Gomes attends a Saturday night social event sponsored by another resident couple, featuring pizza, a cash bar and a live band. 

Such socials are a regular feature in the community’s clubhouse. 

Tonight’s dance is to a rock band, though ballroom dancing is also offered in the community.

The Gomeses say they have everything they need here. “You can walk down the street and everybody knows you,” John says.
