Guy and Nancy Tomlinson, who are both self-employed in the fashion business, live in the Bedford-Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn, New York. They are photographed outside their home on April 2, 2015.
Tomlinson also volunteers at Career Gear in Manhattan. Showing client Michael Lopez how to tie a tie. Lopez was recently laid off from his job measuring pipe pressure after being with the same company for 10 years, and was preparing for his first job interview in over a decade.
Career Gear helps fit clients who are trying to get back into the workforce, with donated professional clothing for interviews and other work opportunities.
At home in Bedford-Stuyvesant. Guy has a downstairs office (or "cave" as he calls it) where he keeps his home office, a couch and television and his record collection.
Guy has family photos displayed in the house; they are, from left, his father (died at 57), grandmother (died at 97) and his grandfather (died in his 20s or 30s).
